Database roles on RDS, Cloud SQL and self-hosted
Instead of sharing one read-write password, Clavra creates a database user per grant with the role that was approved. The user is dropped when the grant ends, and every session is tied back to the request in the audit log.
What Clavra can change
It creates and drops users and grants existing roles to them. It never changes table permissions.
Before you connect
Run the Clavra connector inside your network, or allowlist its IP range. Give it a role with CREATEROLE.
